Joanne led the marketing campaign for the WIRED x Octopus Energy: Energy Tech Summit from concept to delivery.

She expertly directed the development of its unique brand identity, oversaw website development, crafted the strategic marketing plan, and executed it in collaboration with both the WIRED and Octopus Energy teams, resulting in a highly successful co-hosted event that authentically embodied the missions of both organisations.

Joanne acted as sole Producer on "De-Carbonising the Shipping Industry, an Impossible Challenge?" for BBC StoryWorks.

The ad follows the co-founders of Seabound in their day-to-day environment and looks at how they utilise Lenovo products to develop carbon capture technology to create a smarter, greener way.

The New York Times Climate Forward

Joanne played a key role in the marketing, creation, and success of The New York Times' Climate Forward event series. The series has since become a staple for The Times, starting its journey in London in June 2022.

Over the course of the year, Climate Forward continued its global tour, visiting New York, San Francisco, and culminating in Sharm el Sheikh in November, alongside COP27. The events were accessible to both a live in-person audience and a global online audience through live-streaming.

The New York Times Climate Hub

Joanne was instrumental in ensuring the success of The New York Times' Climate Hub event, the first, and largest, hybrid event for The Times.

She took charge of the social media and organic marketing strategy for the nine-day event which took place in Glasgow, Scotland in November 2021, alongside COP26.

Climate Hub brought together influential leaders and thinkers to address critical climate solutions on a global stage.

NYT x World Economic Forum

Each year, The New York Times showcases the breadth and value of its business coverage at the intersection of the world's most pressing issues, including thought leadership, the global economy, climate change, and the labour market, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Whilst the events are by invitation only, Joanne worked closely with designers and creative directors to create seamless marketing assets which showcase The Times' brand identity.

The New York Times Netting Zero

Netting Zero launched in the midst of the pandemic, where The Times had to pivot their events strategy to focus on virtual experiences.

Netting Zero became a leading series throughout 2021, engaging Times journalists with climate experts to explore how we can achieve net zero. The series saw a total of eleven events in the lead up to COP26.

Joanne successfully led the production, marketing, and programming for this series.

The New York Times On the Runway

Joanne collaborated closely with The Times' chief fashion critic and other prominent journalists on the styles desk to create a noteworthy virtual event series that focused on fashion week during the pandemic.

Her efforts resulted in a series that drew attention to the challenges and innovations in the fashion industry during this unique time.

Before joining The New York Times, Joanne worked as a freelance Events Assistant at various prestigious events, including the GQ Men of the Year Awards.

During the 2019 awards, she collaborated closely with lead talent and played an integral role in managing their schedules and appearances on stage.

She acted as a key point of contact for all talent-related inquiries, ensuring a seamless and well-coordinated event.

London Fashion Week

Joanne served as a freelance professional for the British Fashion Council during multiple London Fashion Week events for over four seasons.

Her main duties included managing the production and models' schedules backstage at various runway shows. Additionally, she was involved in talent management and ensured the security of attendees.
